A Taiwanese beauty: Godfrey Gao

A picture's worth a thousand words

Louis vs Alan

I love Alan from the Hangover and I love Louis Vuitton, so i'm in quite a pickle.

Louis Vuitton is suing Warner Brothers for featuring fake luggage in the Hangover 2 movie. The luggage was owned by my favorite character, Alan...does, "Careful, this is a Louis Vuitton," ring a bell?

                                             Team Louis or Team Alan?

Clutch from the past

This clutch came out back in 2010 and we're almost in 2012, that's like 100 fashion years yes, yes, but not if it's a timeless piece like the Louis Vuitton Altaire clutch. The Altair is made of jacquard fabric which Louis Vuitton loves to work with and is embroidered with the monogram symbol adding an LV touch. The golden brass and acetate twist lock is what makes it super elegant and dresses it up in my opinion. What do you think? The clutch also comes in bubble gum pink but below are my two preferred colors and also has a super cute brass mirror attached to the inside.

Current jacket trend?

Loving the current bomber jacket trend. It's casual gone fashionable and you can find it in literary any material and style these days. I'm loving the Sandro wool and leather bomber jacket (£340) for a casual day look and the L'Agence (on sale at Net-a-Porter, click link) faux fur one for a more dressy look.

...and if you're ballsy like Kanye, spice up your look by adding some leopard print to the formula

Christmas is on its way!

4 days to Christmas! Still looking for last minute gifts? Here's an idea, go to Links of London. My personal recommendation would be the Feed (pictured) bracelets starting at £75. There's a few to chose from and it'll help put a smile on more than one face.

Louis Vuitton has a sweet tooth too

Exam time is not over unfortunately but I couldn't help my self from posting when I saw the new Louis Vuitton Spring 2012 ad campaign.  Shot by photographer Steven Meisel, (who also did the shoot for Fall 2012 with the amazing trio, Natalia Vodianova, Christy Turlington and Karen Elison) these pictures ooze sweetness. From the soft pastel colors to the yumminess of the deserts, this campaign is perfection.

Exams!

Thank you to all of you who have been reading my blog. I haven't posted anything in a while and that's because it's EXAM TIME!!! A stressful yet informative time of year...let's face it, we learn something-whether it's what we will be examined on or the latest form of procrastination! I hope you are all well these couple of days leading up to Christmas, I'll get back to posting this up and coming week and in the meanwhile, I'll leave you with some eye candy from the Paris-Shanghai collection...

Luggage...

As some of you may have noticed, my location on my profile states "around the world." The reason is, at this point, I live between cities. One of them being London. I haven't been back for a while now, but whilst I was there over the weekend for a friend's 21st birthday party, I fell in love with it all over again.

Now that I've returned to Barcelona and have unpacked my luggage, I feel sad that I was not able to unpack a different type of luggage from my luggage. That would be the Céline Luggage. I've wanted this tote for a while but unfortunately for me (and many others), it's quite hard to come by because there is so much demand for it.  I saw this beauty in a variety of the spring/summer colors on the shelves of Selfridges. The sales assistant was very kind and allowed me to try it but informed me that the bags were only for display. I'm not too disappointed as I'm still having a hard time deciding between the luggage mini (in yellow) and the nano (in orange). Which one do you like more?

Let's get inspired...

Follow me on http://www.fashiolista.com/style/gingertonic/ and get to know my style better.

I love the concept of www.fashiolista.com. It's such a great way to browse items, get inspiration for outfits and generally get connected with fellow fashionistas!

I'm interested in seeing everyone's finds so post links to your own profiles in the comments section below or follow me so I can follow you back!!

Can't keep my hands out the cookie jar...

These chocolate and hazelnut cookies are simply divine! They're made by the Italian brand Mulino Bianco which has more deliciousness to offer. Another favorite would be the Baiocchi button shaped biscuits which have a hazelnut and cocoa filling.

These cookies remind me of my childhood so I absolutely had to have them when my friend reminded me of their existence a couple of days ago. I went on a mission and found them at an Italian grocer's  on Calle Provença 56, 08029 in Barcelona near the metro stop Estença. They can also be found on www.amazon.com these days.

Unless you live in Italy, Mulino Bianco products can be hard to come by but definitely worth it.

Koy Shunka

(taken from the Koy Shunka website)

One of my favorite restaurants in Barcelona is Koy Shunka. Owned by chef Hideki Matsuhisa and family members, this sushi restaurant boasts a choice between two tasting menus which can be enjoyed at the bar circling the kitchen, a great variety of dishes (raw and cooked) on the main menu and a rich wine selection.

The restaurant is quite upper class and therefore rather pricey but definitely worth it (and great for first dates with its cozy, tranquil atmosphere.) If you're not too keen on splashing the cash, you can always try Shunka which is less pricey, owned by the same chef and in fact opened its doors to the public before its sister restaurant.

Making a reservation in advance is recommended as the restaurant gets very busy and has limited opening hours. For more information you can visit their website below

Tribute to Tribtoo

The YSL Tribtoo platforms may have come out about 4 years ago but some of us are just not over them yet, especially because they continue coming out in different colors and styles. My favorites for the holiday season are the metallic ones. What do you think of the Tribtoos?

Have a look at the Polyvore link below to see more colors, prices, and where to buy

An O.P.I opening

I can't think of a better way to open my blog than with a post about O.P.I. One of my favorite pass times and procrastination methods is doing my nails. My go-to lacquer? It's gotta be O.P.I!

Here are my top 5 colors:

Comet Loves Cupid-Sexy!
Passion-Polished!
Siberian Nights-Dark!
Shorts Story-Cute!
You Don't Know Jacques!-Elegant!

...and my new obsession is all things MATTE...matte cars, matte croc Birkins, and now, matte Nails. To get the effect, use CHANEL's Top Coat Velvet (Matte top coat) over your colored nails
